Sadie Amara Calvano has become famous for the role of Violet Plunkett that she played in the CBS comedy Mom. Calvano originates from California and was first attracted to gymnastics. She later decided to pursue a career in acting. She debuted on the screen in 2010, in the episode of CBS's NCIS. A year later her first major-screen debut made it into the biographical drama movie J Edgar. In the ensuing years, she has been recognized to be one of the most promising young actors in the current industry. In 2011, she received the Young Artist Award nomination for the top Actress in TV Series, guest Actress 11-15. In 2013, she was nominated for yet another Young Artist Award for her appearance as a guest on Disney XD's comedy series 'Kickin' It'. Calvano was part of the main cast of the show's initial three seasons, and also appeared in several episodes of the final season. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for Best Female Actor - Rising Star because of her character in the show 'Mom'.
